The Airline Pilot Club (APC) is a community of aspiring pilots, newly qualified pilots, flying schools and airlines. APC will break down barriers to make the world’s most exciting career accessible to a global and diverse aviation community.
We want to empower, educate, and connect you to APC Quality Assured flying schools and airlines in the industry.

- Undertake APC’s Pathway to Pilot Competence E-Learning course
- Choose the best flying school for your training
- Prepare you for your airline pilot career

STEP 1
Register FREE with APC
The first step you need to take to avail of the many benefits of APC is to register with us. This is completely free and the easiest step you will take on your journey to becoming an airline pilot. Once you have registered you will get access to:
- Free Indicative Assessment
- Free Pathway to Pilot Competence course
- Great Discounts on pilot gear through our partner Pooleys
STEP 2
Build your FREE APC Profile
This is an incredibly important step for you to take as it will make you attractive to our partner Flying Schools and Airlines. The more information you include about yourself the more attractive you will be. You should include information such as:
- Age
- Nationality
- Gender
- Qualifications
- Experience
- As many of the other fields as possible


STEP 3
Complete the FREE Airline Pilot IA
The next step you should take is the Pilot Career Indicative Assessment. The assessment is now completely free. The IA report will be e mailed to you and will tell you what your strengths and weakness are in relation to the airline pilot career.
It is also great preparation for full suite of pilot assessments that you will have to complete with Flying Schools and Airlines.
STEP 4
Start your FREE Pathway to Pilot Competence Course
Complete the Pathway to Pilot Competence course. This is a free e-learning course developed by APC experts. You will learn all about the human aspects of being a great airline pilot. Topics include:
- Human Factors & Limitations
- Crew Resource Management (CRM)
- The 9 Essential Pilot Competencies
When you have completed these steps you will be a very attractive potential student for a Flying School or employee for an Airline.

WHO WE ARE

Cpt. Andy O’Shea
Captain Andy O’Shea is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and is widely regarded as a leader in the pilot training industry. He is an experienced Airline Pilot, Instructor, Senior Examiner and professional pilot training manager.
He has been a professional pilot for 40 years including 27 in Ryanair. As Ryanair’s Head of Training he managed the training of over 10,000 low-hour pilots as they transitioned successfully from initial qualification to their first Airline Pilot job.

Cpt. Petter Hörnfeldt
Petter Hörnfeldt has been an Airline Pilot for 17 years. He is a senior Line Training Captain, Type Rating Instructor and Examiner with more than 14 years of airline training experience.
During the last 4 years, Petter has created an aviation social media community revolving around his Youtube channel, Mentour Pilot. Petter is passionate about helping new pilots achieve their dreams through high quality training and mentorship.
